Reviews of this product:
Pix People Magazine, also known as People with Pix, was produced in Australia and and had a huge circulation at the height of its popularity in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The focus was on Australiana, with special features, Movie and TV news, Glamour, jokes and cartoons, scandal and titillation, fashion and politics. The format was similar to Australasian Post and was required reading material in barber shops around the country. Pix People became more daring with their covers and content in the racy 70s and 80s, often running stories focused on sex with occasional partial nudity. Both Pix People and Australasian Post succumbed to competition from other forms of media and falling circulation and are no longer in publication. Although some of the content is now looked on as being politically incorrect the magazines are a wonderful historical record of fashions, taste and pop culture of the era.
