Original Australian hand litho long daybill approximately 15" x 40" , folded as issued, fair – good condition, the poster was found under floor coverings and there are indentations and edge tears, tears through the image area have been repaired with archival tape on the back, screening details added to the top border (see enlarged photo).
 
Artwork by The Richardson Studio signed by John Richardson. NOTE: John Richardson signed a very small number of Richardson Studio daybills in 1923/4 and these daybills are incredibly scarce. 
 
"Long" daybills were produced in Australia until 1941 when they were replaced by the more familiar smaller format.

Stephen Steps Out is a lost 1923 silent film notable as being the first starring role for the still teenaged Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.. Directed by Joseph Henabery, it was based on a short story by Richard Harding Davis, "The Grand Cross of the Desert." This is a lost film.
With this film young Fairbanks Jr. opted for a screen career despite opposition from his famous father, Douglas Fairbanks.
