BARBARA CARRERA signing a Wild Geese II daybill Movie poster

BARBARA CARRERA autographed a daybill for Wild Geese II for us in Los Angeles on Nov 1st 2019.

Barabara moved to New York at age 16, to pursue a modeling career and was mentored by the designer Lilly Dache. Her exotic beauty brought her to the covers of more than 300 magazines, namely Vogue, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, Playboy and Cosmopolitan, in America and abroad.

She changed her surname from "Kingsbury" to "Carrera" when embarking upon a career in show business. In a 2004 interview with the Daily Mail in the United Kingdom, she said that the reasons for changing her surname were due to not being satisfied with herself and her looks during adolescence.

She claimed to have turned down the title role in Octopussy (1983) with Roger Moore as James Bond, because she wanted to work with Sean Connery, who was returning as James Bond after 12 years, in Never Say Never Again (1983).
