I have updated the Exhibition of Hammer Horror Australian Movie Posters with some new additions from BHP films which was has been referred to as a pseudonym of Hammer Films. Although Hammer is best known for producing Horror films in the 60s and 70s, they produced many other genres of film, released under the Hammer banner dating from the 1930s on.
BHP Films certainly had strong links to Hammer productions having been filmed on the familar Bray sets with the regular Hammer production crew, and produced in the familiar Hammer style.
In the early 1960s, the ACTT (Association of Cinematograph Television and Allied Technicians) arranged to sponsor some of their own films during a slump in British productions. One of the companies that was formed as a result was BHP Productions. Films that were produced as part of the deal included Shadow of the Cat, No Sex Please, We're British and The Valiant.
