EXCEPTIONALLY RARE Original hand litho Australian one sheet 27" x 40" folded as issued, good – very good condition, edge and fold wear, darkening and slight print residue from the bottom of the poster to the top (see enlarged photo).
 
This poster comes from a collection of movie posters recently discovered in an old shed on a farm in country Victoria. The posters range from 1930s – 1960s and cover a wide range of genres and styles. Condition varies on the posters as they were not stored with care but linen backing would address any issues that they may have.

The Young and The Brave is a feature film released in 1963 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer which depicts the quality of bravery of a group of prisoners of war that escaped North Korean capture, their youthful companion, and his dog during their journey to the American lines.
Starring Rory Calhoun, William Bendix, Richard Jaeckel, and Manuel Padilla, Jr., it was written by Ronald Davidson, Beirne Lay, Jr., and Harry M. Slott, directed by Francis D. Lyon and produced by A.C. Lyles. It was Bendix's final film.
Shot on location in Ventura County, California, the film has been recognized by Turner Classic Movies as a historical representation of the war film genre. Preserved in their archives in 2006, the film is widely distributed through the network.
