  • Born in America but has lived and worked in England for many years since her graduation.
  • Her husband and producer is Jim Tomlinson who features on alto, tenor and baritone saxophones.
  • In the early 1990s, Kent began her professional career singing regularly in a popular nightspot, CafĂ© Boheme in London's Soho. After two or three years, Kent began opening for established jazz acts across the road at the Ronnie Scott's nightclub in London.
  • Clint Eastwood invited Stacey to sing at his 70th birthday party.
  • Michael Parkinson, invited Stacey to sing on his television show.
  • Sir David Frost, who asked her to join him one Sunday morning in January 2003, to sing a song and review the morning papers on "Breakast with Frost."
  • A demo tape, sent simultaneously to Polygram, Candid Records and broadcaster, Humphrey Lyttelton, secured her a role in Ian McKellen's film version of Richard III, a recording contract and national airplay and endorsement from Britain's most respected jazz broadcaster.
  • She presents a Jazz Radio programme in England on BBC Kent.
  • Won the 2001 British Jazz Award and the 2002 BBC Jazz Award for Best Vocalist
  • Stacey Kent picked up her first-ever Grammy nomination in in 2009 for the "Best Jazz Vocal" category for her critically acclaimed album, "Breakfast On The Morning Tram".
