Reviews of this product:
"The Forgotten Island of Santosha" is a surf movie by Larry and Roger Yates released in 1972. Surfer Magazine did a cover story on the movie in 1974, and gave an extensive interview of Larry Yates in this issue.
While filmed on various locations, including the North Shore of Hawaii, the most noticeable part of the movie was shot in Mauritius, a small island of the Indian Ocean, and features the mythical reef break of Tamarin Bay, and perfect, long and hollow left, nicknamed "the Mother of all Perfect Lefts" by surfwriter Sam George.
The movie quickly became a hit amongst the surfing community of the time, and inspired many surfers to travel around the globe in search of perfect waves.
