THE OKLAHOMA KID Original LINEN BACKED Long Daybill Movie poster James Cagney Humphrey Bogart
VINTAGE and VERY RARE Original Australian hand litho long daybill approximately 15″ x 40″ linen backed, very good condition. Prior to backing, the poster had edge and fold wear and additional creases throughout. The foldlines have been touched up during the backing process and you can see the restoration if you look very closely at the poster. It displays extremely well and has a magnificent full length image of James Cagney (see enlarged photo). This poster is generally considered to be the only known copy.
“Long” daybills were produced in Australia until 1941 when they were replaced by the more familiar smaller format. Long daybills varied in widths from approximately 15 inches wide x approximately 40 inches in height. The measurements given in the descriptions are approximate to the nearest inch.
