TOM AND JERRY CARTOON FESTIVAL Original 1950s Daybill Movie Poster Hanna Barbera

 

Original Australian Daybill Movie poster approximately 13″ x 30″ folded as issued, very good – fine condition, tiny pinholes in the corners, clear tape on the back corners (see enlarged photo for condition).

 

Tom and Jerry Cartoon Festival, the 1960s compilation of 12 classic MGM Tom & Jerry animated animation cat-and-mouse cartoons (“Three in CinemaScope”).

Also on the bill were other MGM non-cartoon short subjects! Note that Tom and Jerry is a classic series of cartoons created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The first one was created in 1940, and there as a total of 114 cartoons through 1957. Seven of these won Academy Awards for Best Cartoon, tying for most wins with Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies. There were around 50 more cartoons created after the first run ended, through the early 2000s, and there were also TV shows based on these classic characters.
